Community Multiplier grant helps Capital Area Housing Partnership equip homebuyers with the tools they need.

A $27,500 Community Multiplier grant from Mercantile Bank in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis will help more individuals and families throughout Mid Michigan take confident steps toward homeownership. This grant will support CAHP’s homebuyer education and supportive services—resources that help individuals and families navigate the home buying process, understand budgeting, credit, and down payment assistance options, and make informed, empowered decisions about their future.

“Access to affordable housing is foundational to building strong communities,” said Sonali Allen, SVP, Community Development Officer at Mercantile Bank. “For the past 5 years, we’ve been supporting the financial education and services CAHP provides. We’re partners in helping to equip more people with the knowledge and confidence they need to become successful homeowners.”

Together with CAHP, we’re helping open doors—not just to homes, but to stability, opportunity, and long-term financial well-being.

“Partnerships are the cornerstone of CAHP’s ability to deliver affordable housing solutions for residents across mid-Michigan. Mercantile Bank’s ongoing support over the past 5 years has allowed our organization to expand our reach and help even more families achieve housing and financial stability.“
