Alma College shapes students through connection, experience, and personal growth.

A college experience is shaped by many things, from academics and campus traditions to opportunities for involvement and growth. Alma College provides that and more, giving students a sense of belonging that brings it all together and stays with students long after graduation.

Founded in 1886, Alma College has long believed that education should develop the whole person. That philosophy is reflected in its name, which is rooted in a word that means "nourishing." For students, that extends beyond the classroom, encouraging growth intellectually, socially, and personally while preparing them for life after graduation.
For alumni, the Alma College experience is defined by the people. In a supportive community where students are encouraged to be themselves, lasting relationships are built on campus and beyond. Students gain practical skills, confidence, and leadership experience that help to shape how they engage with their careers, communities, and the people around them.

Current students experience that same spirit of connection. Whether participating in music, community outreach, athletics, Greek life, academics, or other activities, students are encouraged to explore multiple interests and discover new opportunities. You don’t have to be defined by a single role. Alma College Scots are supported in pursuing multiple interests at the same time.

That ability to be more than one thing is part of what makes Alma College unique. Students are challenged to grow in different ways, connect with people, and build the confidence to step into new spaces. We’re proud to be the bank investing in scholarly pursuits.
