There’s something energizing about being in a room full of people who care about growing, learning, and supporting one another. That was the spirit of the Michigan Bankers Association’s Women in Banking Day, where a group of Mercantile Bank women came together for connection, conversation, and inspiration.
The day carried special meaning for Mercantile as Laura Peet, Vice President and Training Manager, was recognized with the Women Shaping Tomorrow Award. The honor celebrates women who are making a meaningful impact through leadership, growth, and service, and Laura’s career reflects all three!
With 15 years of banking experience, Laura has supported Mercantile’s training and development efforts through a variety of roles. She has helped build and refine programs that support employees as they grow and adapt. Her work continues to make a positive difference for both her colleagues and the customers they serve. Beyond the workplace, Laura is actively involved in her community, where she spends time coaching and mentoring.
Laura’s combination of professional leadership and community engagement is what makes her recognition so fitting, and why we’re proud to celebrate her as a Woman Shaping Tomorrow!
