Building Stronger Communities Together
When we show up in and for our communities, good things happen. Through local donations, volunteer efforts, and leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, our team is committed to making a meaningful difference in the places we live and work.

Supporting Thriving Communities
At Mercantile Bank, responsible banking includes being open and intentional about how we contribute to our communities. Our Enterprise Excellence Matrix and our Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Report outline how we approach environmental, social, and governance priorities within our business. Our United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Report highlights how our charitable giving and volunteer efforts align with globally recognized goals. Together, these reports reflect our commitment to transparency, thoughtful community investment, and creating positive, lasting impact—locally and beyond.
The Cheers for Peers Program
The focus of Cheers for Peers is to uncover and recognize passionate employees who continuously excel and go above and beyond in all they do. Each recipient is awarded $500 to donate to a non-profit of their choice. Monthly winners are announced on our Facebook page.

Arts and Culture
Supporting programs that make the arts accessible, enhance civic spaces, and bring people together through cultural and community events.
