Bob has lived in various places, including Southeast Michigan, Suburban Chicago, Newaygo, and Traverse City, before settling in Grand Rapids with his wife, Colleen, and their three children. He appreciates the unique qualities of different areas of Michigan, from Grand Rapids and Detroit to Southwest Michigan, Northwest Michigan, Central Michigan, the UP, and the Sunrise Side, and enjoys the state's natural beauty, particularly its Great Lakes.

He loves spending time with family and friends and has hobbies that include fishing, golfing, reading, and following sports, with a particular passion for Detroit sports teams and MSU football and basketball.

Bob's goal with his clients is to provide a loan with competitive terms and to close it efficiently and smoothly. He believes that a mortgage should be part of an overall financial plan and works with clients to determine the best program for their needs. Bob prides himself on fluid communication and is available beyond traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate his clients' schedules. He is dedicated to ensuring a successful and timely closing process and believes that Mercantile has the best mortgage department in the state, with whom he feels fortunate to work.
