About Brian
Brian is a proud graduate of Central Michigan University, often referred to as the Harvard of the Mid-West. He has been working in banking since 1991, with a focus on originating mortgages since 1992, and has been with Mercantile Bank since 2012. Brian is married to Mindy, and together they have three adult children, Abby, Will and Josh. Active in the Ionia County area, Brian serves on several boards, including the Ionia County Community Foundation, the Ionia County Intermediate School District, the Ionia Housing Commission, and UM-Health, Sparrow Ionia. At home, he shares his life with a female Maine-coon cat named Nick, who is known for her impressive skills at hunting chipmunks.Fun Facts

Great experience
Everyone at Mercantile Bank on South State RD in Ionia, Michigan was great. From the tellers to management to Mr. Brian Talbot. This experience was one of the best. The tellers were very helpful and cared about their customers. Management was great on making sure things were getting taken care of for the customers. And Brian Talbot was great as always. Very friendly, caring and explained everything out with the equity loan. These people at this location need lunch bought for them or going in and telling them great job. I am very impressed with my loan process. It was very speedy and low stress level. I applied with another bank and I was closed with Mercantile before I ever heard from the other bank.
