Before joining Mercantile, I started my mortgage banking career with Rocket Mortgage back in January 2020. Just as I was just getting my feet wet, the pandemic started. As a brand-new banker, we were all sent home for what would be the next year and a half, so I had to quickly learn the industry on my own simply by trial and error. During this time, I was fortunate enough to work my way up to become a Director of Mortgage Banking in just a year and a half in the industry! Following the promotion, I spent five plus years as a leader there with experience in both refinance and purchase transactions. In my spare time, I am an avid mediocre golfer. If I am not working or on the golf course, I am hiking or out on the water. During the winter months, I like to relax with video games and more recently chess. I was born and raised in Wisconsin before coming to Michigan in 2016 to play college baseball at Concordia University in Ann Arbor. Upon graduation, I was fortunate enough to stay and have called Metro Detroit home ever since.
