As a longtime Grand Rapids resident, Shanika Gordon has dedicated her career to serving the community she proudly calls home. Prior to joining Mercantile Bank as a Community Mortgage Banker, she worked several years in real estate development in the Nonprofit world, helping shape and support local communities throughout West Michigan. Drawing on her experience in real estate development and her deep roots in the region, Shanika is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals through personalized guidance, education, and trusted financial solutions. She is committed to building lasting relationships and making the home financing process as smooth and accessible as possible. A proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Shanika is dedicated to service, scholarship, sisterhood, and community engagement. She values opportunities to give back and connect with others through both professional and civic involvement. When she's not working with clients, Shanika enjoys spending time with family and experiencing the energy and excitement of live music.
