Community Housing Network is providing life-changing services to those facing housing instability. The $27,500 Community Multiplier grant from Mercantile Bank in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis will help even more individuals and families get access to the wrap-around services they provide. From emergency housing and eviction prevention to permanent housing solutions, case management, and street outreach programs, CHN helps people with little support navigate a sometimes difficult process.
“Financial education is a key part of lasting housing stability, and can be a powerful step forward,” said Sonali Allen, SVP, Community Development Officer at Mercantile Bank. “For the past 8 years, we’ve been supporting Community Housing Network in helping people feel more confident managing daily expenses, planning ahead, and making choices that support their goals.”
“We are deeply grateful for our continued partnership with Mercantile Bank and for the support of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis,” said Kirsten Elliott, President and CEO of Community Housing Network. “This Community Multiplier grant comes at a critical time, housing instability is rising, and flexible funding like this allows us to respond quickly and effectively. These dollars will have a direct impact on the lives of many working families in our community.”
We’re grateful to partners like CHN for the work they do to meet people where they are and provide the support they need as they move forward.
