There’s something powerful about learning through experience, and that’s exactly what campers at Junior Achievement’s BizTown Summer Camp are getting this week! And we couldn’t be more excited to help by providing scholarships to ten future leaders from six area schools in Grand Rapids, Kentwood, and Caledonia.
At the weeklong camp, they’ll dive into money management, explore cool careers, and get a taste of what it’s like to run a business. There will be plenty of teamwork, creativity, and a whole lineup of guest speakers to help inspire them.
“JA BizTown Summer Camp is a chance for kids to try on their futures for the week – learning about earning and managing their own money, interviewing for jobs, voting, running businesses, and working together to build a community. We are so grateful to Mercantile Bank for providing scholarships, making this opportunity possible for students in the Greater Grand Rapids area who otherwise may not have been able to participate,”
said Clare Shubert, JA Capstone Director.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to support JA and help more students experience BizTown and all it has to offer. We can’t wait to see where these rising stars go next!
