Some leaders create impact; others spark movements. Tamara Flake does both, and this year, she has been recognized as a 2026 Michigan Chronicle Woman of Excellence, honoring women whose professional achievements, leadership, and community influence elevate Michigan forward.
Tam’s work is rooted in empowerment. As the founder of IROCKITBALD LLC, she transformed her personal journey with alopecia into a bold, uplifting movement that encourages individuals to embrace their identity with confidence and authenticity.
Her leadership extends across the region through her dedicated volunteerism and service. She currently serves as a mentor to Wayne State University students, is an avid volunteer for various non-profits, and serves on the boards of Women in Public Finance Michigan Chapter, and both the Oakland County and Macomb County Treasurer’s Associations. She also brings her voice and perspective to wider audiences as a co-host of the EVRY Woman Talk Show, where she helps spotlight conversations that matter to women and communities throughout Michigan.
Professionally, Tam is a seasoned finance leader whose expertise and relationship building continues to help drive growth and revenue across our Southeast Michigan market
Tam’s passion, presence, and purpose-driven work embody what it means to be a Woman of Excellence. Congrats on your recognition, Tam!
“I’m deeply grateful to be honored alongside such an extraordinary group of trailblazing women. To be recognized in this way is truly humbling. If my efforts make a meaningful difference in even one person’s life, that impact matters and this acknowledgement affirms my purpose in a way I’ll always carry with me.”
