Summer Interns in Action

Learning, contributing, and doing good, our summer interns are making it count!

Our summer interns have been hard at work and taking time for some fun and community engagement along the way! They've jumped into several real-world projects across the bank. Here's an update on what they've been up to this summer.

Spread across our footprint, they are working alongside experienced team members in a variety of departments. Supporting the Commercial Loan team by auditing and reorganizing the filing system, assisting with Human Resources conference planning, and contributing to Marketing through video editing and writing projects.

They are also making an impact outside of the office. It’s been a long tradition at Mercantile that our summer interns participate in a community service day, and this year’s interns visited the Boys and Girls Club of Grand Rapids. They spent the day playing games, connecting with the kids, and sharing lunch. The energy was high and the smiles were big!

This year marks the 11th cohort of our Summer Internship program. With 10 students representing 10 different colleges and universities. They are bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to every project.
